Mountain Biking and Cycling

Haus Pichler and the Pfarrkirchner are an exceptional vacation destination in the Lungau region. During the summer, a clearly way-marked network of more than 550 km mountain bike trails and wonderful bike paths promises active vacation days spent amid a healthful alpine climate.

Along the riverbanks and through the valleys, pedaling along is practically effortless. The mountain routes, on the other hand, present an array of challenges, both big and small. Routes occasionally transition from straightforward cycling to mountain biking, leading you past babbling streams and crystal-clear mountain lakes. Rustic alpine huts and friendly country cafes invite you to enjoy refreshment breaks along the way.  The Lungau is also famous for the Mur Bike Path, following the course of the Mur River which has its headwaters in the region.

Pichler sports shop is always ready and willing to assist when it comes to service or repairs for your bicycle.  You can also rent out children’s bikes, MTB’s and road bikes, along with child seats and helmets.
